Here we go - the latest batch of MDR 12"s for the dancers and, of course, the big room DJs! Museum duo, Anton Pieete and Jeroen Liebregts, might appear to be new artists top some of our younger or lesser tech-house-inclined listeners out there, but these two have appeared on countless labels over the years, including names such as Drumcode, Audio Assault, Rejected and even Ovum. This is no surprise given the fact that MDR often handpicks artists from all over the house/techno sphere, so we're delighted to be faced with a left field choice. "Pole" and "Raider" carry out the business in fine style, ducking and diving amidst eerie walls of sound, latching onto the more minimal-minded side of techno, and powered forwards by steady licks of 4/4 drums, while Dettman's own edit of "Septem F" switches up the sound to a more tribal, hypnotic palette of sounds. "CCC" oozes the cult of the Berghain sound from every angle, and "DDD" almost feels like a continuation of the same tune into bouncier, more open-minded quarters.
