Björk Orkestral with the Hamrahlíð Choir - the live concert choir experience recorded at Harpa on 24th October 2021 in Reykjavik is now set for its first-ever physical release. In 2021, Björk performed a series of four Orkestral concert live streams at Harpa in Reykjavik, these intimate shows featured Björk accompanied by members of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the Hamrahlíð Choir, and flute septet Viibra, with the proceeds supporting Kvennaathvarfið, a women's shelter in Reykjavík. Across the series of concerts Björk was joined by over 100 Icelandic musicians and were some of the first live performances with an audience by a major international singer since COVID-19 crippled the live music industry. This release features the live recording from the concert that took place on 24th October 2021 with the Hamrahlíð Choir conducted by Þorgerður Ingólfsdóttir and musical director Bergur Þórisson also on organ and electronics. The recording featured songs primarily from Björk's albums, Medúlla (2004), Biophilia (2011) and Utopia (2017).
